Banbury Camera Club at Café Red

Chris Baldwin's exhibition

It is with great sadness that Café Red – the canalside cafe which is part of Banbury Museum – has now closed. Banbury Camera Club has been providing exhibitions of Members’ work for 3 years.

Our first exhibition in this space was to commemorate Banbury Camera Club’s 70th Anniversary. In 2016 we displayed an exhibition representing “British Life” to coincide with the museum’s official exhibition “The British Life Photography Awards Exhibition”. Since then, the work of many of our members have been presented at Café Red. This work has been described as excellent by many people independent of our club.

Here is a list of our Café Red exhibitions.

This exhibition in Café Red was held at the same time as the British Life photographic exhibition in the gallery of the main museum. Back to Café Red

We were pleased to be able to have a continuous exhibition of our photography which was seen by the public. The exhibition was changed frequently to ensure it was fresh and to maintain interest by the users of the Café Red.

I hope that at some time in the near future another exhibition space with a regular public footfall can be used by Banbury Camera Club so that these exhibitions can continue.
