Child Protection (Safeguarding) Policy

Banbury Camera Club is an adult organisation. Occasionally, children or young people (under 18) may attend meetings or events accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Parents or guardians are responsible for the supervision and behaviour of their children at all times.
  • Club members are not responsible for providing childcare or supervision.
  • Members should treat all children with respect and behave appropriately at all times.
  • Permission should be obtained from the parent or guardian before taking identifiable photographs of a child, and before publishing such images.
  • Any concerns about the welfare of a child should be reported to the Club Chair. If a child is believed to be at immediate risk of harm, the police or the local authority children’s services should be contacted without delay.

This policy will be reviewed periodically by the Club Committee.
